Girls trip missed!!

Back in mid-June, the trip I had been waiting for almost a year was about to happen. I had been talking about this non-stop to anyone who would listen. My best friends and I were finally going to get together after 6 years. However, although I had amazing weather here in Nashville the state of Florida did not.

Due to a multi-day torrential rainstorm in the Miami/FLL area, my flight was canceled. Despite planning ahead and flying out two days early, I couldn't secure another flight to Ft Lauderdale or any other location close in Florida. I was the only one who didn't make it.The thought of spending the entire weekend at home while my friends were on the cruise I helped organize was unimaginable. Once it became abundantly clear that I would not make it, I reviewed my points inventory and devised a new plan.
