My Virgin Cruise Lines Deal!

Back in May, I took my sister on her first Virgin Cruise. We both absolutely loved it. While on the ship I took advantage of their MNVV (My Next Virgin Voyage) offer. I put down a $300 deposit. In return, I would get $300 discount on my next voyage. I would also get up to $600 onboard credit with the deposit I made while I was still on board the ship. To maximize the credit, I needed to lock in my next cruise within 60 days. If I hadn’t locked in a date within 60 days, I still would have gotten $300 onboard credit as long as I booked a cruise within 2 years.

My oldest is 18, we started discussing his summer plans and we realized we had time to do a cruise just the two of us before his classes begin back later in August. I looked at Virgin Voyages - (affiliate link) and found an amazing cruise deal for us. Our cruise was $1746 total but we got $300 off from having the MNVV. So our total for our cruise was less than $1500 and we got $600 onboard credit. This is a phenomenal deal for a virgin cruise where tip, wifi, and all specialty dining are included.

Last year when I booked my casino deal for Virgin I applied for a status match with MSC Cruises. I have never been on MSC but had Caesear Diamond (from my Wynhdam Business Earner card). So I status matched MSC by using my Caesars diamond. Then I set my MSC status to Virgin. This was all done via email and was very easy to do. Virgin told me I could not status match on a casino deal however, when I booked this cruise they gave me my status match so not only did we get an amazing deal on the cruise, but we also get Deep Blue Extras. This includes:

Premium wifi

$100 bar tab (free)

2 free coffees a day

A party with live music and free sparkling wine and sangria

Boarding at 1:30 ***

Although Virgin still has a status match program they no longer match MSC. However, if you have a status with any other cruise line check into a status match. They are some fun extras. I know that premium wifi will make my 18-year-old very happy!

To complete the deal on this cruise: I booked my Southwest flights on points. The flight to Miami was less than 2,000 points. The flight back was less than 10,000 points. I was able to get my son a free ticket as my companion. We booked the Hyatt Regency in Miami (near the cruise port) for 9,000 points a night. My sister and I stayed at his hotel in May. We loved the extra large room we had. It was within walking distance of restaurants and Whole Foods (where we bought wine to carry on board).
