Hotel in Rome

My dream trip to the Greek Isles is happening in 2025! You can see the amazing casino cruise deal I booked here. We used points for our flights to Rome and home from Athens. We just had to pay taxes on these international flights.

2025 is the year of the Jubilee in Rome. I finally sat down and started looking for a free room in Rome. I knew I needed to start early because of the Jubilee. They expect at least 35 million pilgrims to go to Rome next year. After booking so many trips for 2025 my points are running low for Hyatt (my usual hotel go-to). Last week I did my point inventory to see my points in each reward program. I was pleased to see over 70,000 Marriott Rewards available.

I ran some searches for the one night I am staying in Rome. I was prepared for high prices. So many of the rooms are over 100,000 points a night. I have been to Rome a couple of times and I had an idea what part of town I would like to stay. I was very pleased to see the Sina Bernini Bristol, Autograph Collection for 65,000 points. If we paid cash for this room, it would have been around 650 euros.

I have one hotel left to book to complete this trip. We need a one-night stay in Athens before we return home. First of January, I will have 5 free Hyatt nights thanks to a sign-up bonus. I could use one of those to stay in the Hyatt Regency Athens for free.
