7 day eastern caribbean with puerto rico
Thanks to a status match from Wyndham to Caesars Diamond I jumped on the Casino Merry Go Round a couple of years ago. Thanks to using my $400 onboard credit from my Enchanted Princess Cruise in the Casino I have 4 Princess cruises booked this year. I just had to pay taxes and fees. I will add the way I got started doing this is no longer an option but you can read about it here: Free Cruises
Deals come and go so if I see something that interests me I try to jump if I can. I will be sure to share if I see something like this pop up again!
My next cruise is quickly approaching. I am heading out with my cruise buddy Mary. Mary is an amazing cruise agent and she booked this cruise for us using my casino offers. You can check out her website here: Sunny Breezes Mary specializes in group cruises. I just returned from one of her group cruises on the MSC Divina. I had the best time. Mary brings the fun!
Mary and I will be sailing the Sky Princess from Fort Lauderdale to the Eastern Caribbean. We are excited about the itinerary because we visited most of these ports on our September cruise on Carnival Magic. This cruise added Puerto Rico. I have never been to Puerto Rico, so I am so excited about visiting somewhere new. I also like these ports because there is enough stuff to do without spending money on pricey shore excursions.
Let’s get to the deal:
My deal with Princess includes a free interior cabin plus $50 in the casino. We just had to pay the taxes and fees plus a $200 deposit each. We get the $200 back in onboard credit when we board the ship. Our total was around $420 each and we got $200 back in onboard credit. Score! If we had booked this cruise without a casino deal it would have been $2,678.
While Mary lives in South Florida I live in Tennessee. I need to fly to Ft Lauderdale to catch the flight. Last year, I had a flight canceled after sitting 9 hours in the airport. I messaged Southwest saying I felt that was an excessive wait. They agreed even though it was weather-related they gave me $300 in vouchers. Completely free flights!
I don’t need a hotel for this trip since Mary is also the best hostess. I am crashing at her house pre-cruise! However, if I needed one there are lots of great Hyatts in the area that I like to stay at free on points.
The final total for the trip was $880 for the cruise and $400 back in onboard credit and my flights were free. A $3000 trip for $880 that includes all our food is an amazing deal.
